Just a few weeks ago I embarked on a journey to Iceland with my son, Drew. It was a dream of mine to see the Northern Lights and I knew the chances were good in Iceland. The country itself is amazingly beautiful with the most diverse natural features packed in a small area that I've ever seen. Our trip was short and we could not access all parts of the country, but what we saw, mainly in the south and in the capital of Reykjavik was quite amazing. We did see the Northern Lights and it was a thrilling sight, my top bucket list item fulfilled! The bad news is that my camera bag and all my equipment disappeared on the journey to Iceland so I did not get a quality photo of the Aurora. The two images from Iceland that I have posted in Naturescapes were taken with my cell phone. I guess every photographer's worst nightmare came true for me, but I didn't let it stop me from thoroughly enjoying the experience!
